This is a key leadership position within the Sysco Technology organization reporting to the (CTO) VP, Platform Services, and Digital Infrastructure who is expected to participate in consultation with key stakeholders, business partners, and technical colleagues to develop and deliver cost effective network services to the business units with a high focus on reliability, security, and standards.
This individual must have strong cross-functional leadership and personal skills, as well as substantial technical experience and expertise in network architecture, planning, engineering, and operations across a large complex environment.
This individual must be committed to the highest levels of customer service, as well as following industry standards for service delivery (i.e., ITIL). Strong management and interpersonal skills are a must.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, direction, and guidance to the Network Services teams. Operational responsibility for logical and physical design of the enterprise network, including routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, IP space, Internet connectivity, and wireless networks.
- Ensure the provision of comprehensive, integrated, reliable, high-quality services in areas such as backbone and local area networking, network facilities and infrastructure, Internet access, high-performance networking, network security, and remote access to campus IT services.
- Develop and manage a budget for lifecycle management and continuous network and infrastructure modernization along with overseeing 3rd Party Managed Service Contracts.
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports by establishing work priorities and resource management as they perform their duties to achieve company initiatives along with accelerating their professional and technical development through coaching and training ensuring focus on achieving high customer satisfaction.
- In a continuous manner, analyze the complex network environments and identify risks and mitigation strategies across the enterprise.
- Partner with stakeholders to map the needs of the business (or business needs) identified by customers to detailed technical requirements for network infrastructure and services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, documentation, technical KPIs and SLAs for network & telecommunications services portfolio.
- Ensure network security and compliance (PCI, NIST, ISO, and others) are at the forefront of deployed solutions.
- Master’s degree in Technology Management, Management Information Systems, or relevant career experience.
- 10 years of Supervisory or Managerial experience.
- 5 years of experience with running and managing Network Engineering in a Global environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a high commitment to customer service.
- Experience with operating large scale, highly available network through capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure/network engineering
- Must have a cooperative approach to leadership and management.
- Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of vendors, service providers, and complex managed service contracts.
- Ability to facilitate productive meetings and work successfully in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong managerial, organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of network and telecommunication services, and applications appropriate for a global enterprise environment.
- Ability to envision and implement exemplary applications of information technology to support network and telecommunication operations.
- Knowledge of the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and management of networking and telecommunications equipment.
- Knowledge of global high-performance networking developments and options.
