JOB SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to support inbound receiving and outbound shipping. The utility department is responsible for helping in all warehouse functions (i.e. loading, selection, forklift, checker, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stocking slots, completing putaway and facilitating transfers.
• Completing will-calls or pulling bulk pulls.
• Transporting freight via pallet jack or forklift.
• Moving containers to and from dock doors
• Selecting, loading, and checking orders.
• Cleaning and assisting in the cleanliness of the warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• 6 months' experience with reach truck required.
• Prior pallet jack and radio frequency (RF) experience preferred.

Professional Skills

• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Can read and speak English.

Physical Demand

• Lift up to 50 lbs. often and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

Work Environment

• The workload can vary significantly.
• Work in both ambient and freezer temperatures.
• Must have the flexibility to work shifts that may include long hours and have varying shift start and end times.

 
DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY
Most important decisions made fully independently:

• Prioritizing put-aways and letdowns.
• Pick slot swaps.
• Non-demand replenishments.

Most important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required):

• Stock Status- A drop where a non-demand isn’t available before a stock status can be done.
• Switching of departments to complete replenishments.
• Loading short cubed containers.
• Items to be cut from an order that does not fit in the container.
