Overview:

We're seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join an Agile development team supporting a high-impact enterprise financial software system and web application. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, UX designers, architects, developers, and leadership to deliver business capabilities and drive process improvements.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze requirements and document user stories for Agile sprints

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams

• Convert business use cases into actionable tasks for development

• Organize, lead, and refine backlogs, epics, and sprints

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings to clarify requirements and priorities

• Maintain project documentation in JIRA, Confluence, and Portfolio

• Support process mapping and improvement initiatives

• Contribute to technical planning and execution with Architects and Tech Leads

• Deliver clear technical and business documentation including:

  • User stories

  • Requirements traceability matrices

  • Data flow diagrams

  • Use cases

  • Wireframes/mockups

What You’ll Need:

• U.S. Citizenship (required for Public Trust clearance)

• Bachelor's degree

• 3 years experience as a Business Analyst on Agile software development teams

• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence

• Familiarity with Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools for process modeling

• Strong understanding of Agile SDLC and backlog management

• Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical audiences

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Detail-oriented and customer-focused

Nice to Have:

• Experience with federal government systems

• Familiarity with DevOps culture and tools

• Prior work in pilot phase or new system implementation

• Knowledge of information architecture, data governance, or cross-team coordination

• DMV-based and willing to be onsite as needed
