Title: Buyer / Planner
Location: Hackettstown, NJ
Schedule: M-F 8 AM- 4:30 PM
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
Position requires purchasing and maintaining proper inventory of materials to support manufacturing, sales and service departments in a changing production environment based on sales demand and forecasts. Duties include purchasing and receiving under direction and supervision of current buyers.

Responsibilities:
Position requires purchasing and maintaining proper inventory of materials to support manufacturing, sales and service departments in a changing production environment based on sales demand and forecasts. Duties include purchasing and receiving under direction and supervision of current buyers.
- Utilize MRP reports to identify items that need to be procured or internally produced, peg to demand and actual need date; create quotes and or release purchase order as required under the direction of buyers, mostly for hardware, IC, and Resisters.
- Use SAP system to count and receive in parts
- Review and monitor purchased material inflow and blanket PO’s, expedite in materials as required under the direction and review of full-time buyers
- Help when needed to pull work orders and receive and put away parts.
- High School Diploma
- Associates Degree or Experience knowledge
- 2 to 3yrs experience in purchasing, planning, and inventory control
- APICS or ISM certification a plus
- MRP and ERP systems
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Organized, pro-active and comfortable with multi-tasking
- Microsoft Office; Excel, Word
- Capable of using Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
