System One is seeking a Production Supervisor to support manufacturing operations in Colorado Springs, CO. This second-shift leadership role is responsible for overseeing production associates and driving performance in alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, lead, and develop a production team to meet organizational goals.
- Own and manage departmental performance metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and ROCK (Remove, Organize, Clean, Keep).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and quality standards.
- Provide training and certify associates per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team communications to set expectations, share feedback, and support development.
- Enforce safety protocols, including PPE and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) requirements.
- Ensure product quality meets industry standards and customer expectations.
- Drive proactive quality improvements to meet OD and PPM targets.
- Support rapid containment and investigation of quality issues in coordination with technicians.
- Ensure timely scheduling of orders and material availability to meet customer delivery dates.
- Coordinate with scheduling teams on expedite requests and manage production schedules accordingly.
- Balance machine and personnel capacity with scheduling demands, including managing overtime and time off.
- Drive cost performance within the department through productivity improvements and scrap reduction.
- Collaborate with technicians to prioritize and resolve tooling issues affecting quality or efficiency.
- Routinely audit processes to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Strong data analysis skills and a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes; lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Collaborative and team-oriented across multiple departments.
Education & Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred (not mandatory).
- On-the-job training provided as needed.
