A well-established material handling solutions provider is seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative within B2B Material Handling sales (ex. Forklift sales) to manage and grow a territory focused on industrial equipment and service offerings. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships, close deals, and provide consultative solutions to customers across manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics sectors.
Key Responsibilities
-Material Handling sales (ex. Forklift sales)
- Prospect and acquire new business accounts through cold calling, networking, and territory outreach
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships by conducting site visits, identifying needs, and proposing tailored solutions
- Present and sell equipment, service contracts, parts, and related material handling solutions
- Prepare quotes and proposals, follow up consistently, and close sales in alignment with company goals
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and customer interactions using CRM software
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive offerings
- Collaborate closely with service, parts, and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years (5 preferred) of B2B outside sales experience, ideally in material handling, industrial, technical, or service-based environments
- Demonstrated success in prospecting and closing new business
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with cold calling and face-to-face selling
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a sales pipeline and prioritize daily tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in material handling, industrial equipment, or warehouse solutions
- Familiarity with leasing, service agreements, or capital equipment sales
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand basic mechanical concepts
- Background in managing a multi-county or regional territory
