Tachus is a fiber-optic Internet provider delivering service to the Greater Houston area since 2018. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Business Account Executive is an outside sales, business to business ‘hunting’ role, responsible for reaching out to potential clients through prospecting, generating new leads, signing up new business clients and increasing our business client penetration throughout the existing and growing Tachus market area. The Business Account Executive should be passionate about emerging technology within the telecom industry, demonstrate consultative selling skills and be motivated as an individual to drive new business clients and revenue throughout the sales cycle. The Business Account Executive will work with dedication to provide a concierge-level, ‘high-touch’ experience for clients.
Candidate should have the ability to communicate in a tone that meets the brand – friendly, informative, clever, and approachable. The candidate will need to be adaptive and willing to evolve and grow with the company and within the responsibilities outlined. The position’s pay and benefits will be highly competitive.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation – Prospects & self-generates new leads through various activities, including canvassing potential clients in-person, cold-calling, email outreach and follow-up, customer referrals, setting up and working events, meeting potential clients at Chamber events, and other developmental relationship opportunities.
- Presentation - delivers in-person sales presentations and high-touch, concierge-level follow-up that demonstrates knowledge of the latest Tachus solutions and services.
- Sales - sells with the goal to exceed departmental, financial and unit targets.
- Territory development - Assist with developing sales territory, including cultivation of local business partnerships and organizational affiliations.
- Product sales confirmation - Follows up with client on sold products and services. Confirms choices (bandwidth, static IP, Wifi choice, etc.) & updates account, notates business order and adds changes to CRM (Salesforce).
- Workflow & scheduling – In coordination with the sales, project management, dispatch & installation team, follows-up on schedules with client and within company for a high-touch, concierge-level experience, looking to improve processes and delight clients along the Tachus journey.
- Goals – meets & exceeds sales objectives preset by management (calls, contacts, presentations, sales, connects, revenue) in anticipation of exceeding connect and revenue goals (monthly, quarterly and annual goals)
- Participation – participates and leads out of the office meetings with clients on a regular basis and demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills as well as skills in presenting, persuading and negotiating.
- Reporting – Documents all sales activities on a regular basis (weekly/monthly/quarterly) into CRM and other reporting formats inclusive of weekly prospecting, sales, connects, revenue reports.
- Composure & judgement – demonstrates consistent independent & sound judgement, discretion & composure.
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
Skills And Experience
- BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a Business to Business (B2B) sales environment
- 2 years of recent experience within a B2B sales environment
- Flexible schedule necessary to meet the demands of business clients and internal teams
- Experience in a data-centric environment, inclusive of Salesforce is important
- Make decisions to drive action and influence team members and peers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter - analytical, detail-oriented and project management skills
- Excellent computer skills w/Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Salesforce CRM
- Strong interpersonal and team-relational skills
- Telecommunications; technology background a huge plus!
- Reliable automobile required
- Thrives in cross-functional, team-based environment
- Must be able to assume a high level of individual responsibility
- Physical activities include, but are not limited to: climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking and lifting up to 30 pounds
