Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to oversee the operations of our establishment during the evening hours. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food production and kitchen management. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all night operations, ensuring smooth service delivery in the dining area and kitchen.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing training development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and improve food production processes.
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked and managed efficiently.
- Monitor daily labor percentages and costs of food, proportioning menu items to restaurant standards and managing team members time efficiently.
- Collaborate with the general manager, assistant manager, and/or team leads to implement shift management strategies that optimize team performance.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, maintaining a high level of hospitality throughout the night shift.
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain and execute all goals set forth by restaurant management including but not limited to: speed of service, cleanliness, and daily labor control.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in fine dining settings.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including food production techniques and inventory control systems.
- Excellent training development skills with a focus on enhancing team performance through effective coaching.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Exceptional communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Previous experience in quick service restaurant management is a plus.
