Position Summary
The Monitor Technician/Health Unit Coordinator (HCU) is an excellent opportunity to play an essential role in providing high-quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. If you are a skilled communicator and love being the focal communication source, this is the job for you.Is a Monitor Tech/HCU at MultiCare, you will hone your patient care and monitoring skills, nurture your communications development, and collaborate with the Clinical Director in support of care and delivery of patient services.
Responsibilities
- You will perform receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unit
- Observe telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups
- You will regularly utilize your independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborate with Clinical Director and charge nurse for optimal care delivery and patient services
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of patient care experience preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred
- On the job Training Provided: Successful completion of rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency test (experienced techs may bypass the training by passing competency test) #LI-DS2

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.53 - $35.58 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
