Duties
- Lead structured Taekwondo classes for diverse age groups, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Demonstrate proper techniques, forms (poomsae), sparring, and self-defense skills with clarity and enthusiasm
- Develop personalized training plans to help students improve their skills and achieve belt promotions
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage continuous improvement
- Enforce behavior management strategies to maintain a respectful and disciplined class environment
- Organize special events such as belt testing, demonstrations, and competitions to showcase student achievements
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to support student development and address concerns
Requirements
- Proven experience in martial arts, specifically Taekwondo
- Strong background in teaching or coaching sports, with an ability to motivate students of varying skill levels
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster discipline and respect among students
- Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings preferred
- Familiarity with physical education teaching methods and sports coaching principles
- Lifeguard experience or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate techniques and provide feedback effectively
