Job Overview – DME Billing and Credentialing Manager:
Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000/year
Location: Lakewood, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Take on a key role as a DME Billing and Credentialing Manager in Lakewood, NJ, overseeing billing operations, credentialing, and payer compliance for our client, a leading durable medical equipment (DME) organization. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with deep DME billing expertise and team leadership experience. You’ll manage billing and credentialing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements to optimize reimbursement and financial performance.
Responsibilities as the DME Billing and Credentialing Manager:
- Billing Management: Oversee DME billing, claims submission, denial resolution, and payer compliance.
- Credentialing Oversight: Manage provider credentialing, renewals, and records while supervising credentialing staff.
- Compliance & Training: Develop compliance policies, lead staff training, and conduct audits to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Team Leadership: Supervise billing and credentialing staff, delegate tasks, and drive operational performance.
- Reporting & Issue Resolution: Prepare reports for leadership and serve as the primary contact for billing and credentialing inquiries.
Qualifications for the DME Billing and Credentialing Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in DME billing, credentialing, and compliance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Certification: Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CMBS) is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in DME billing software, clearinghouse platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and the ability to manage team priorities and ensure accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
