Process Technician
The Process Technician is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to identify and help develop Best Manufacturing Practices for the lines to achieve Business Objectives.
The Process Technician must be available to support lines 62, 63, 64, 65, & 71, Reclaim, Finishing and their associated support as needed. He or she will work closely with the Process Engineers to develop statistical techniques, root cause analysis and sound engineering principals.
Responsibilities:
Process Technician
The Process Technician is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to identify and help develop Best Manufacturing Practices for the lines to achieve Business Objectives.
The Process Technician must be available to support lines 62, 63, 64, 65, & 71, Reclaim, Finishing and their associated support as needed. He or she will work closely with the Process Engineers to develop statistical techniques, root cause analysis and sound engineering principals.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor line performance and correct deficiencies in order to meet business plan goals for volume, yield, quality, uptime, and cost.
- Follow a daily route and keep the Process Engineer informed of exceptions and highlights.
- Document issues and the resolutions.
- Take the lead where necessary in troubleshooting problems with; continuity, film properties, web appearance, flatness, raw materials and equipment.
- Provide leadership and direction to Operators in order to resolve issued effectively, share best practices.
- Maintain compliance with plant standards for safety, quality, and manufacturing practices.
- Provide training or revise procedures when applicable.
- Provide maintenance and operators with accurate and detailed problem statements in order to facilitate resolutions in equipment failures and processes.
- Provide management coverage for plant maintenance, shutdowns and startups, weekend duty, training and advice and cover for the Process Engineer as needed.
- Participate in plant safety and product safety processes.
- Ensure that the plant operates effectively daily.
- Improve the capability of the plant’s process operators.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a moderately heavy manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
- Must be able to withstand continuous periods of moving, walking, bending, stooping, keeling, twisting motion, climbing and descending stairs and ladders to perform most tasks
- Must have at least basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Must be mentally sharp and quick to respond
- Must have strong communications skills both verbal and written
- Must demonstrate a serious willingness to continuously improve
- Must show a strong attention to details
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
