Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will deliver full life cycle recruiting. This means they will use their abilities to source, screen and prepare candidates for interviews. They will conduct final interviews and offer job candidates compensation packages. The successful Talent Acquisition Specialist will act as the public face of the company during the recruiting process, ensuring a positive candidate experiences from the initial application to the final on-boarding process. He or she will maintain awareness of competitor practices, industry trends and recruitment standards.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaboratively consult with hiring managers to recommend strategies to develop and execute tactical sourcing strategies aimed at generating candidates that meet diversity and overall recruiting goals. Help identify key performance factors, develop sourcing pools, and establish interviewing criteria. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will prioritize the urgency and importance of your requisition load, proactively building a pipeline of qualified candidates for critical roles by posting job ads through job boards, social media, state employment agencies, professional associations, and employee referral programs. He or she will evaluate applications, review resumes and complete initial phone interviews to establish a narrow candidate pool. They will make final recommendations to hiring managers on the top candidates for in-person interviews. He or she will also support our talent attraction programs by owning university, military and diversity recruiting events.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and own the talent acquisition process with a primary focus on hiring hourly shift workers and exempt level recruiting.
- Educate yourself on your functional business responsibility, identify and engage key relationships.
- Set expectations and good communication habits with customers.
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications as needed.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
- Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates.
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
- Build and present a sourcing strategy/recruiting plan for each functional business area and then execute the plan.
- Assist in deploying effective onboarding activities including creation of new materials, facilitating sessions, conducting a portion of new employee orientation.
- Proactively drive to create opportunities, solve problems, and deliver high quality results that add value to the organization.
- Provide superior customer service - respond courteously, accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Support additional talent and organizational effectiveness initiatives, such as, but not limited to, recruiting and sourcing strategies, employee recognition program, team building activities, employment branding/marketing (National Manufacturing Day, WorkOne, etc.).
- Establish yourself as an ambassador for the company.

- Deliver results executed by setting personal recruiting performance goals, assessing steps required to achieve those goals, adjusting strategies to accomplish the goals within the expected delivery range, and taking personal responsibility to ensure success.
- Supports compliance efforts with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Collaborate with team to support other HR activities and objectives.
- Ensure you have a clear understanding of all HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure administrative data is consistently and accurately entered all systems / files, as required.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience is highly desired.
- 3 years of direct experience is full-life cycle recruitment is required.
- Direct manufacturing experience is required.
- Experienced in developing proactive candidate sourcing strategies.
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, stress etc.).
- Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference/background check, etc.).
- Ability to organize and establish new assessment examinations.
- Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems ADP and Taleo is a plus.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting & staffing laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to articulate ideas verbally and in writing with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and meet objectives.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills is required.
- A highly proactive, solution-oriented approach to work and interactions.
- Strong team player skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Follows quality management system requirements for relevant activities.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
