Summary
The MSC Practice Lead II is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations within an assigned clinic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads all aspects of daily clinic operations for the assigned clinic, ensuring the delivery of the highest levels of clinical quality and customer service to clinic patients in the most cost-effective manner.
- The Practice Lead II maintains five or more providers in an assigned clinic.
- Communicates throughout the day with physicians and staff to ensure optimal coordination in the delivery of medical services in the assigned clinic.
- Interviews, assists with training and supervises all front and back office staff working in the assigned clinic.
- Assists MSC Manager with the Just Culture process and employee termination as needed.
- Ensures adequate daily clinic staffing based on physician schedules, coordinating with other Practice Leads to shift staffing resources as needed.
- Conducts probationary and annual performance reviews of all staff in assigned clinic in conjunction with MSC Manager.
- Performs timekeeping process for assigned clinic.
- Reviews daily physician schedules for appropriate visit lengths and types, and works with front office staff to increase patient access.
- Implements operational changes in assigned clinic as directed by MSC Manager in coordination with service line Director.
- Serves as the MSC representative on committees, task forces, or project teams as directed by the MSC Manager or Director, and completes or coordinates tasks delegated as a result of such representation.
- Ensures regulatory compliance and survey readiness for assigned clinic.
- Coordinates with the MSC Manager and Patient Financial Services Manager to ensure accurate and complete charge capture, compliance and optimal revenue cycle management for assigned clinic.
- Assists MSC Manager with coordinating the operational aspects of all provider additions and departures, relocations, or other transitions within the assigned clinic.
- Resolves customer complaints or forwards them to the MSC Manager as appropriate
- Serves as the site specialist for all computer software used to manage department operations.
- Educates staff on optimal use of the software and troubleshoots issues, coordinating with IT staff as needed.
- Orders medical and offices supplies for assigned clinic.
- Monitors clinic staffing and expenditures for budgetary compliance and provides justification to the MSC Manager and Director regarding necessary staff overtime or unbudgeted expenditures.
- Oversees end of day cash accounting procedures for assigned clinic.
- Monitors and manages work queues allocated to clinic.
- Ensures accurate completion of medical record requests.
- Participates in quarterly operations review of practice when initiated by MSC leadership.
- Performs front and back office duties.
- Participates in department quality improvement program.
- Monitors and maintains all department records and documentation.
- Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.

Minimum Education/Experience
Certificate of completion from college or vocational school or 1-2 years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
BLS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification). - Within 3 months of hire into job
Other Experience/Qualifications
Required:
- A willingness to be trained on-the-job in duties not previously learned is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required, as well as familiarity with medical documents and medical chart components.
Preferred:
- Bi-lingual Spanish.
