What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Project Manager position at Tailored Foam, Inc.?
Commercial Insulation – Spray Foam & Masonry Block
Location: Texas-based | Frequent travel to surrounding states
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Traveling Role)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Field Project Manager who enjoys being in the field, working with people, and seeing projects come together the right way. This role is hands-on and travel-heavy, focused on supporting crews, working directly with customers, and making sure jobs are set up for success from start to finish.
You’ll be the connection between the customer, the project details, and our installation teams; helping everyone stay aligned, productive, and proud of the work being done.
If you like leading by example, coaching crews, and solving problems on the jobsite (not behind a desk), this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review projects with customers and internal teams to make sure everyone is on the same page
- Confirm product needs, scope details, and jobsite requirements before crews get started
- Clearly communicate expectations to installation crews, including quality and productivity goals
- Travel Monday–Friday, with frequent overnight stays to support active job sites
- Lead, train, and support installer crews across multiple states
- Be present in the field to help crews succeed and keep projects moving smoothly
- Perform regular jobsite walk-throughs focused on quality, safety, and efficiency
- Set realistic daily and weekly productivity expectations and help crews hit them
- Manage materials and inventory to keep jobs stocked and minimize waste
- Help maintain accountability for tools, trucks, and equipment
- Review daily reports and production logs
- Coach team members when issues arise and help them improve—not just correct mistakes
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in commercial construction field leadership or project oversight
- Someone comfortable leading crews while also managing the bigger project picture
- A solid understanding of construction workflows, quality standards, and productivity
- Ability to read plans, scopes, and product requirements
- Comfortable traveling during the work week and staying overnight as needed
- Strong communication skills and a team-first leadership style
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical
Bonus Points If You Have
- Spray foam and/or masonry block insulation experience
- Estimating or takeoff review experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
What We Offer
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Per diem for overnight travel
- Travel expenses covered (as applicable)
- Company vehicle and tools (as applicable)
- A stable company with long-term growth opportunities
- A team that values hard work, accountability, and doing things the right way
