Job description:
We’re looking for an IT Director of Restaurant Systems who is excited to join our rapidly growing company. Come join us at Tailwind Hospitality, a national airport concessionaire providing food, beverage, and retail at 60 locations nationwide. The IT Director of Restaurant Systems will actively participate in implementing and administrating Restaurant Technology systems to support business operations and growth. Responsibilities include working with our Operations Manager and IT Support Specialist, who together manage the company’s technology needs, support restaurant operations, and lead IT initiatives, specifically but not limited to new restaurant openings. This position requires expertise in POS systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure technology enhances the guest experience and operational efficiency. The Restaurant Technology Manager will work closely with the Development Business Resources, Operations, and Executive Team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist In R365 Inventory Management and recipe building.
- Keep POS database clean and manage deletion of old items.
- Traveling to all new locations or revenue centers for POS install.
- Implement Restaurant Technology systems and roadmaps to support business operations and new business opportunities.
- Participate in quality control and maintenance of Restaurant Technology systems and integrations with other systems, including third-party applications and a data
- warehouse.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business goals and objectives.
- Contribute to Restaurant Technology system stability to ensure service incidents and issues are resolved in a timely manner per team and department service level agreement.
- Provide training and support to technical support team, business partners, and Operations teams.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POS systems across all restaurant locations.
- Manage the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Work with technology vendors to source, implement, and maintain IT solutions tailored to the restaurant industry.
- Ensure compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) protection standards, safeguarding customer and business information.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and strategies to support business goals.
- Lead and mentor staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Create and update promotions, discounts, menus, tenders, etc. in the POS and Self-service applications.
- Work with Operations and/or Brand partners on the creation of new POS databases, to ensure smooth store openings.
- Oversee testing and installation of new hardware and software as needed.
- Troubleshoot store hardware and software, including POS terminals, POS printers, and other POS peripherals.
- Create and deliver implementation plans, detailing the tasks that need to be completed to ensure timely installation of software systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field(or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Extensive experience with POS systems; preferably SpotOn, Toast, and Clover in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of network management, cybersecurity, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Availability for occasional after-hours support
- Ability to travel as needed
- 2 years experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- 2 years airport experience preferred
