About the Role
We're looking for a Site Design Engineer (Fixed Term) to join our growing team and play a critical role in designing, documenting, and supporting the deployment of PSN sites across the country. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across design, operations, and site implementation.
In this role, your key responsibilities will be:
- Designing high-quality RF and infrastructure solutions for PSN site deployments
- Creating comprehensive work instructions for site installation and commissioning
- Preparing accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) for site builds
- Collaborating with the Build and Site Acquisition teams to align on deliverables
- Assisting with site surveys, infrastructure assessments, and RF environment evaluations
- Ensuring internal systems (such as Nexsys One) are updated and accurately maintained
- Supporting lifecycle and spares management as required
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvement
- Providing ad hoc reports and assisting with various Build Team needs
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in telecommunications site design and deployment.
You will also bring:
- At least 5 years' experience in Telco build environments
- Strong understanding of Mobile and LMR (Land Mobile Radio) networks, especially DMR systems
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
- Strong organisational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A collaborative attitude with a willingness to support cross-functional teams
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving and evolving environment
