What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Taiyo America Inc?
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Maintain vendor records, match invoice to purchase order, and pay invoices in a timely manner in order to take advantage of discounts. Prepare commission statements for rep payments, prepare credit card reconciliation, prepare and journalize prepaid expenses, and other month end reporting. Maintain purchase and payment records for parent company. Record shipments from parent company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Account payables full cycle accounting.
- General ledger reconciliations.
- Organizing paperwork for payment approval and filing.
- Issue checks / ACH payments.
- Manage vendor records.
- Must always comply with all OSHA and company workplace safety requirements.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Account receivable backup.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in Accounting, or 5 years’ work experience in manufacturing desired but will train right individual.
- 10-key.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Excel spread sheets a must.
