How this role drives the company forward:
The Reagent Manufacturing Assistant I will support the manufacturing team in the production of kits and reagents in a laboratory setting. The Reagent Manufacturing Assistant I will follow established processes and procedures to perform a variety of essential, repetitive packaging tasks including product labeling, capping, and final product assembly. As an entry level position, this role works in close coordination with Management and Associates in the performance of packaging responsibilities
The Reagent Manufacturing Assistant I is a part-time, on-site role located in San Jose, CA.
How you will make an impact:
As a Reagent Manufacturing Assistant I, you will make an impact through your hands-on contribution to the manufacture of TBUSA’s products. You will work under the supervision of the Manager, Reagent Manufacturing and in collaboration other manufacturing team members to label and kit our products. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently are critical to providing TBUSA’s customers with quality products which will be used to make exciting scientific discoveries.
What will you do:
This is a part-time, non-exempt position, 16-20 hours a week, Monday through Friday during standard business times. Flexibility to work overtime or non-standard hours may be required at times.

What will you do:
- Responsible for performing assigned packaging tasks, which includes printing labels, labeling product, capping containers, final assembly of products and operating packaging equipment.
- Completes manufacturing records accurately.
- Operates industrial glasswashers to clean labware.
- Operates front loading and top loading autoclaves to decontaminate labware.
- Maintains lab environment to comply with regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and good laboratory practices.
- Accesses the quality management system to comply with documented procedures.
- Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Follows safe practices established for work in a laboratory environment.
- May assist Reagent Manufacturing Associates in performance of other manufacturing activities.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- AA degree is preferred.
- 0-1 years’ experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow written procedures.
- Documentation skills and attention to detail is required.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate work with other team members.
- Computer skills required: Microsoft office, Outlook, and navigating company business databases.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
- Ability to comply with applicable personal protection equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks using upper body and while sitting or standing in one place for periods of 1-4 hours of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted and heavier weight with assistance or use of tools.
