Description
The Outdoor Living Specialist is responsible for supporting the Director of Outdoor Living Products throughout the sales process for decking, railing, and other outdoor living products. The position will support all Talbert branches, working closely with the Talbert team, vendors, and customers to consistently deliver the Talbert Difference.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain a current and extensive knowledge base of outdoor living products.
- Assist contractors, homeowners, designers, and Talbert Sales with outdoor living product questions, selections, ordering, and installation information.
- Complete decking, railing, and other outdoor living product takeoffs.
- Measure for EZ Breeze systems.
- Communicate pricing, suggested margins, and appropriate distributors for special order products to Talbert Sales.
- Communicate product lead times to customers and team members to verify expectations are clear and aligned.
- Assist with training and special events – Lunch and Learns, Outdoor Living Expo, Customer Appreciation Days, etc.
- Keep literature and showroom displays organized and current with the most up-to-date products and information.
- Manage rebate programs and special offers.
- Maintain a database of deck builders and customers who have purchased outdoor living products.

- General computer skills are necessary with a background in Microsoft programs.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
