Job Opportunity: Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our inpatient team. This is a full-time night shift position, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday
• Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with occasional start at 9:00 PM
• Start Dates Available: April 7th and April 21st
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
• Certifications Required: BLS, CPhT - Advanced, State licensed
• Certifications Preferred: Chemo/Hazardous Drug, IV Certification
  
  

Required Skills:

• Inpatient / Acute care
• Aseptic Technique
• Compounding Sterile and Non-Sterile Products
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Preparation of IV mixtures
• Controlled substance documentation
• Handling high alert/risk medications
• Managing look alike/sound alike drugs
• Experience in Retail Pharmacy
• Handling and disposal requirements
• Labeling requirements
• Preparation of Chemotherapy
• Medication error prevention/reporting
• Sterilization of laminar or horizontal flow hood
  
  

Medication and Inventory Systems:

• Medication System: Pyxis
• Pharmacy Inventory Management:
• Automation problem resolution
• Automation stocking and use
• Ordering and receiving processes (maintain par levels, rotate stock)
• Product removal (recalls, returns, outdates, reverse distribution)
• Storage requirements

• Scrubs are not provided; any color of choice is acceptable
