JOB DETAILS:
Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
- Target Ratios: 1:6-7
- Shift: 12HR NIGHTS 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours.
- *Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!! Charge role is required for night travelers.
- ***RTO: 7 days MAX***;
- Call Requirement: Call required if put on call prescheduled shift.
- Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding.
- Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend
- *Must be able to work holidays
- *possibly of taking care of COVID patients.
- *Traveler will be assigned to a Inclement Weather Team.
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
- RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
- Traveler Experience: Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
- Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
- Skills: EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Must be able to take insulin and heparin drips.
- Certs: BCLS
- CPI, Charge nurse exp.
- Adults and geriatrics. General Med/Surg Patients. Daily census :43.
- Insulin Drips
- Heparin Drips
- Wound Vac Drsg Changes
- High Flow Oxygen
- We occasionally have limited short term BiPap with respiratory support. No additional training needed. Appropriate for all med/surg nurses. No PCU level patients on this unit.
- PYXIS EPIC, SBAR
- Unit Needs Preferences relayed to management
- 24 hrs.
