Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, surveys, and hospital committees.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure professional behavior and appearance.
- Document accurately and use computer systems for patient data entry.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree).
- No previous work experience required – New grads welcome.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Active Texas license.
- CPR – BCLS
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (must be completed before the end of orientation)
- Proficient in computer-based documentation.
- Capable of working in a high-risk, fast-paced clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of oncology-related care is a plus.
- Designated Driver: No
- OSHA Category: 1 – High Risk
