What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Solutions Engineer (AI Agents) position at Talent Vine?
About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing Series B AI startup building a highly configurable, self-hosted voice AI platform. Their customers operate in regulated, high-stakes environments (financial services, healthcare, insurance), where reliability, control, and real outcomes matter.
Their platform allows teams to design sophisticated AI agents using conversational workflows, prompts, and lightweight code — without relying on third-party model APIs. Customers use it to automate complex, real-world interactions at scale.
Why This Role Exists
Every customer problem is different. The data, workflows, and goals vary widely — and there’s no playbook.
Our client is hiring Customer Solutions Engineers to work directly with customers to turn fuzzy requirements into reliable, production-grade AI agents that drive measurable business impact. This is a hands-on role focused on building inside the platform rather than shipping traditional application code.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build conversational workflows using a no-code / low-code AI platform
- Write, test, and iterate on prompts that drive consistent agent behavior
- Introduce determinism using variables, control flow, and lightweight scripting
- Translate ambiguous customer needs into concrete, measurable outcomes
- Optimize agent performance against real KPIs (conversion, resolution, deflection)
- Partner directly with customer stakeholders to deploy, refine, and scale solutions
- Turn successful patterns into reusable playbooks and best practices
What This Role Is (and Isn’t)
This role is:
- Highly hands-on and customer-facing
- Focused on systems thinking, iteration, and outcomes
- Centered on prompt design, workflows, and problem-solving
This role is not:
- A traditional full-stack or backend engineering role
- Heavy infrastructure or production service ownership
- Primarily debugging logs or maintaining legacy systems
What We’re Looking For
- Experience automating workflows, building systems, or shipping technical solutions
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and owning problems end-to-end
- Strong written communication and command of language
- Outcome-oriented thinking (inputs → outputs → metrics)
- Technical fluency (scripting, APIs, logic), even without a formal SWE background
- Fast learner with high ownership and bias to action
Nice to Have
- Experience with LLMs, prompts, or agent-based systems
- Background in solutions engineering, customer engineering, or technical ops
- Startup or founder experience
- Exposure to regulated industries or complex business workflows
Who Will Thrives in this Role
- Early-career builders with high ownership
- People who enjoy figuring things out without a playbook
Exceptional new grads with strong learning velocity are welcome.
