Sr. Scientist, Computational Chemistry
Talentry is looking for a Sr. Scientist, Computational
Chemistry to help develop and optimize a novel proteomics platform.
This person will report to the Director of Computational Chemistry
and will perform in silico design of small molecules to bind proteins using our
mature proprietary platform to design therapeutics for “undruggable” targets. He
or she will work in the computational chemistry department to support the drug
discovery process through computer aided drug design and development.
The right person will work closely with the other bench
scientists to optimize drug design and performance, as well as to provide
insight into new drug design. This position also works closely with IT to
ensure computational capability.
Requirements
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, or similar, and 5 years
of relevant experience in drug discovery and design.
Proven knowledge of structural and medicinal chemistry,
biochemistry, structural biology, etc., including binding method free energy,
docking, QSAR, etc.
Demonstrated expertise with commercial molecular modeling
software (Schrodinger, OpenEye, Maestro, Cresset, RDKit, CCG, etc.)
Diverse modeling and computational methodology experience is
required.
Solid biology, Python scripting, communication, and
interpersonal skills are musts.
