Job Summary:
**We are looking for someone that speaks fluent Spanish. The hours are flexible. We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong administrative and customer service skills. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update medical records using Dentrix or Epic software
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Proficient in using medical office software such as Tebra
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
