Job Summary:
Primary Responsibility is to assist management through oversight and direction of day-to-day warehouse operations, supervision, training and motivation of reporting staff.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees Daily Warehouse Operations, directs staff, manages training, monitors’ performance and works for improvement.Interfaces with management and quality manager to insure processes and procedures are being followed, goals and objectives are being met and customers being supported. Assists on an as needed basis in general warehouse roles including cable processing, order picking, order packing, small parcel shipping, truck shipping, receiving, put away, and cycle counting.
Insures operation is both neat and orderly and that regular housekeeping is maintained.
Insures equipment maintenance checks are performed weekly and notifies upper management of any repairs needs.
Conducts monthly safety meetings and promotes the companies policy of an injury free work environment.
Opens or closes the warehouse on a daily basis depending on the work schedule.
Works with Sales staff’s special customer requests.
Manages priorities and resolves issues.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
Minimum of 3years related work experience leading and or supervising employees.
This position requires a working knowledge of, and an ability to operate, warehouse equipment including forklift, re-roll equipment, and office equipment including personal computers and software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
This position requires;
people skills, a strong goal orientation, superior time management skills and work ethic, and an ability to direct staff and work cohesively with peers.
Must be able to present and live by the Talley Goal of making Talley the Premier Distributor in the Wireless Communications Industry.
