Transportation and Logistics service provider seeking Entry Writers to join the team. The ideal candidates will have knowledge of clearing goods through customs and facilitating the delivery.
Pay Range : $21-25hr DOE
Job type : Full-Time, in office
Schedule : Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
Location : Monterey Park, CA
Essential Duties :
Prepare documents for submittal to US CustomsReview documents to check for accuracy and complianceEnsure shipments meet laws and regulations to facilitate import and export of goodsInterface with customers on delivery and irregularitiesManage daily tracking reports for open shipmentsTrack and trace shipments and coordinate with the steamship lines, freight forwarders, etcArrange with trucking companies for pick-up and deliveryHandle accounting processes including the issuance of invoices and freight bill approval.Maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, container freight stations and trucking companies.Additional duties as assigned.Qualifications :
2-4 years experience as an entry writerDetailed oriented and able to meet deadlinesFamiliarity using CargoWise or similar softwareProficient with MS Word and ExcelGreat attitude and a team playerDetailed and organizedMust pass a background check
