Tamarack Geological Services: Mid-Level to Senior Geologist
PROJECT TITLE: Geologist (Mid-Level to Senior)
LOCATION: Lexington, North Carolina

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Background: Active exploration programs are labor intensive and require field-oriented geologists to complete a variety of tasks to ensure success. Geologists interested in mining and mineral exploration are ideal candidates to assist in managing the projects. Tamarack Geological Services is working to build a team of geologists to assist with ongoing exploration in the region.
Objectives: The Geologist will assist with a variety of tasks for day-to-day operations of advance mineral exploration goals and objectives.
2.0 SCOPE OF WORK
Key Tasks:
- Drill Management: Manage daily drilling operations, coordinate drill pad construction, maintain working geologic models to track progress and targeting, collaborate with management to adjust drill plans to meet company goals.
- Logging: Clean, reassemble, and measure core and chips. Log data using database software, with attention to alteration and mineralization.
- Sample Management: Lay out, cut, and package samples, ensuring proper QA/QC protocols are followed.
- Field Work: Assist with short-term sampling, field mapping, and using GPS coordinates to locate stations.
- Data Entry: Collect, Upload, and organize data. Assist with office tasks like scanning and digitization.
- Transport & Organization: Properly label, store, and transport core samples, maintaining accurate inventory.
- Communication: Regular check-ins with exploration team and drill company. Report any issues promptly.
3.0 QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology
- 3-10 years experience in core logging
- 3-5 years managing drills
- Strong interest in minerology and hydrothermal mineral deposits.
- Ability to learn local geology, follow directions, work unsupervised, collect high quality data and work safely.
- Highly organized.

- Daily Rate DOE
