Full Time & Part Time Teachers at JCC Preschool

We are excited to be increasing our numbers and looking to hire passionate, dependable, loving and energetic full-time and part-time Lead & Assistant teachers. Our location has been open for 20 years. The preschool embraces a constructivist approach to learning, providing a strong academic foundation in a warm, nurturing and fun environment. Essential Job Functions
Under the general supervision of the preschool administrators, teachers provide a stimulating, safe and developmentally appropriate educational environment for preschool children.
Requirements
- Provide basic needs for children
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Establish and implement classroom management effectively
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Must stand, interact and supervise while on the playground
- Able to lift 35 pounds and comfort children
- Sign up within 90 days of employment for DCF 45 training hours (required by the state.)
- Successful completion of a urine drug screen and background check
- High school diploma or GED
- CDA helpful (not required)
- Early Childhood Certification helpful (not required)
