Schedule is Monday-Friday 2nd or 3rd shift with flexibility
Position Summary:
Clean and maintain Tanager Place facilities in accordance to Agency standards observing safe work practices.
Examples of Essential Functions:
- Keep buildings and property in clean and orderly condition
- Sweep, mop, scrub and/or vacuum floors
- Scrub, sanitize and supply restroom facilities
- Dust furniture, wall and equipment
- Clean windows, blinds, mirrors and partitions with soap and other cleansers
- Clean and polish fixtures and furniture
- Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs
- Empty trash daily and remove to the exterior dumpster
- Complete daily and monthly cleaning checklist as assigned
- Operate various cleaning equipment such as power buffers, vacuums, etc.
- Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Ensure safe use of chemicals and equipment in accordance with the SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies in assigned buildings
- Maintain all biohazardous waste and sharps containers on a weekly basis
- Report all unsafe conditions immediately
- Attend work regularly at the designated place and time
- Perform additional assignments as directed
Acceptable Experience/Training/ Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
