Since 1879, we’ve been dedicated to supporting children and families in Linn County and as the first children's human services agency in the county, our mission continues to evolve with the needs of our community. Today, we serve over 4,000 children and teens annually through prevention, treatment, and outreach programs.

Position Overview

The Development Officer plays a key role in advancing the organization’s mission by supporting and implementing fundraising strategies that generate revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and foster community engagement. This position works collaboratively with members of the Development team, Executive Leadership, and staff across the organization to align donor interests with Tanager’s strategic priorities ensuring a personalized, value-driven donor experience grounded in transparency and trust.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Business or a related field
  • At least two (2) years of experience in fundraising, donor relations or nonprofit development
  • Demonstrated success securing and stewarding individual gifts of at least $5000.00
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
  • Required Special Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and meet the driving requirements of the
  • agency
