Building and Grounds Maintenance

POSITION SUMMARY

In this position reporting to the Facility and Maintenance Manager, the Building and Grounds will be responsible for ensuring the grounds and facility are maintained to ensure safety and aesthetic standards. In this position you may be required to support other areas of the plant as needed.

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

• Maintain inside and outside of building
• Assist Maintenance staff as needed
• Complete all projects assigned by supervisor including but not limited to:
• Cleaning break room sink, tables, refrigerator, microwave and floors to high standards
• Cleaning bathrooms in the front office and breakroom; sinks, toilets, floors, etc
• Vacuuming front offices and other assigned areas as needed
• Removal of brush and other yard waste from Tandem property
• Trimming of weeds & mowing
• Snow removal & salt/sand: sidewalks and emergency exits
• Painting as needed

• Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities
• Runs 'errands' which may involve mail pick-up or delivery, parts or materials requisitions, and other miscellaneous off-site pick-ups and/ or deliveries. Sets a good example of personal integrity as a Tandem representative in the community.
• Accepts other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned or as need becomes apparent

SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

• Able to demonstrate and keep high quality standards.
• Ability to safely drive a forklift, floor sweeper, lawn mower, skid steer, and company truck
• Mechanical ability to repair equipment, as required
• Ability to accurately follow assignments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others to get results

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Continued exposures to low levels of chemical fumes and exhausts
• Life up to 50 lbs
• Bending, twisting, kneeling
• Extended periods of walking or standing
