POSITION SUMMARY
In this position reporting to the Machine Operator, the Machine Helper will be responsible for preparing molds and part setups for pouring operation including: verification of mold dimensions, verify all setups for dimensional accuracy and order quantity required. Setup and demold parts per production demands. In this position you may be required to support other areas of the plant as needed.
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Perform tooling setups including mold / setup dimensional verification
- Maintain quality standards.
- Maintain productivity standards.
- Maintain housekeeping in area.
- Able to work as a team and handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge and understanding of Tandems ISO policies and objectives.
- Able to differentiate waste and hazardous material and properly dispose of each.
- Able to help assure quality by properly utilizing torch and scraping excesses material off while material is being poured
- Demold and identify rejects while product is still on production line
- Working knowledge of where material is stored if operator needs it
- Knowledge where to dispose of empty drums for either re-use or recycling
- Accepts other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned or as need becomes apparent.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED
- Able to demonstrate and keep high quality standards.
- Ability to read tape measure, print, and process sheet.
- Ability to work with others to get results.
- Ability to multi-task with ability to prioritize.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to use trimming tools to remove flash from parts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Reasonable vision or corrected vision
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in an environment with frequent exposure to fumes, chemicals and dust
- Able to work in heat
- Able to lift and reach above your head.
- Able to twist and bend
- Able to demonstrate reasonable dexterity
