Tandy is seeking a Human Resources (HR) & Payroll/Benefits Specialist to join our HR team in the Corporate Office in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a collaborative, people-facing, analytical and problem-solving role. You Can Expect To:
As the Tandy Payroll/Benefits Specialist, you will join the HR team supporting all US/Canada/Spain locations and 600 employees. In this role, you will work as part of a high-performing HR team, partnering closely with HR Managers and operational leaders to support several day-to-day payroll processing and benefits administration tasks. This role will allow you to build your competencies around understanding and executing Payroll/benefits to serve our employees’ needs, furthering our ability to meet our purpose of creating a people environment that fully and compassionately supports the well-being of all employees throughout their careers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the processing of payroll, including taxes, benefits, and other deductions
- Assist and support the onboarding and new hire process
- Perform data entry in HRIS
- Follow federal regulations and best practices and monitor employee compliance.
- Support various HR functions such as employee changes, terminations, etc.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
- Support various HR & payroll audits and reconciliations
- Cross-train and support other HR team members as needed
- Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
- Work within a hybrid model, sometimes at home and sometimes in the office.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of HR/payroll (multi-state)/benefits administration experience in a similar role, preferred
- Working knowledge of HRIS tools and processes, ADP preferred
- Solid business judgment and maturity in navigating critical situations
- Dependability, professionalism, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Legally authorized to work for any company in the United States without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field or comparable experience
