- Setting: Outpatient
- Schedule: Monday to Friday standard business hours
- Call Schedule: Rotated call
The Advanced Endo Gastroenterologist will:
- Evaluate patients with digestive system symptoms, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, and rectal bleeding
- Perform physical exams, review medical history, and order diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging studies, or endoscopic procedures, to diagnose gastrointestinal disorders
- Develop treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis and severity of the condition
- Prescribe medication, lifestyle changes, or recommend surgical interventions, such as endoscopic procedures or abdominal surgeries, to manage the patient's symptoms and improve their quality of life
- Monitor the progress of their patients and adjust treatment plans, as needed
- Provide follow-up care, such as surveillance colonoscopies, to prevent disease recurrence or detect new conditions
- Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and ways to prevent future digestive system problems
- Perform other duties, as needed
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified in Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterology
