Description
We are seeking an Executive Director to lead and manage our residential facilities. This is a key and exciting role for an individual who has a commitment towards improving the lives of persons with intellectual or developmental (IDD) disabilities. The Executive Director maintains high-quality programs in accordance with the mission statement, state regulations and the standards and policies of TARC. The Executive Director is responsible for oversite of all operations including compliance, growth and development, budget and workforce development. Programs include residential homes, and nursing services delivered through a contract service provider. Expansion plans include increasing the housing census above 19 and expanding into In Home Support Services.
Job Responsibilities
- Reports to President
- Responsible for oversite of residential daily operations and compliance with TARC and state licensing and reporting standards
- Responsible for oversite of 45 employees
- Recommend new approaches, policies, processes, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
- Assess operational issues and develop comprehensive solutions to maintain a high-quality program
- Promote and maintain a positive public image of Community Options and our mission
- Develop, implement, supervise and coordinate office procedures, programs and services
- Recommend sound personnel practices in employee recruitment, evaluations, compensation, employee benefits, and terminations
- Partner with Human Resources to address personnel and performance issues
- May conduct programmatic investigations
- Institute and maintain appropriate management, financial and personnel controls, and provides the necessary documentation and paperwork
- Interface with local, state and governmental agencies
- Oversee State Audits
- Participate in developing long and short-term department goals, objectives, and systems
- Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications
- Bacholor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Management experience in intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or long-term care settings
- Strong supervisory skills in home & community care environments
- Proven track record in operations management and leadership roles
- Premium skills in assisted living, nursing home care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,783.00 - $110,000.00 per year
