Job Summary:
Tareen Dermatology is hiring for a full-time Dispensary Technician. We are a growing physician-owned Dermatology practice located in the Twin Cities Metro. We are expanding and seek a highly motivated individual to work at our Roseville, MN office. This position will be scheduled 40 hours per week, day-time shift.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive prescriptions from Tareen Dermatology providers. Capture appropriate patient information.
- Process electronic and written prescriptions quickly and accurately. This includes new and refill prescriptions.
- Assist in preparation and dispensing of medications, including insurance adjudication, counting, labeling, and selling. Complete basic tasks without the review of others.
- Resolve insurance issues, including step therapy, prior authorizations, and drug utilization review per department policy.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the computer system.
- Complete special orders or projects to meet customer needs.
- Respond to internal and external customer and employee inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner.
- Take inbound calls and make outbound calls as needed.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately.
- Performs administrative duties as assigned.
- Assist in inventory control duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school or equivalent required
- 1-2 year prior healthcare or pharmacy experience preferred.
