We’re super passionate about the work that we do and we’re on the hunt for a fellow self-starter to add to our unique culture and join our ambitious team.JOB DESCRIPTIONOur Logistics Director will be responsible for developing and managing Transportation & Warehousing management activities and suppliers for the VMS Co-Op. This position requires superior business, negotiation, analytical / problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to implement new supply chain practices and lean / continuous improvement programs. We are also looking for someone with the leadership and management skills to develop and scale the logistics team. This role will report to our Chief Supply Chain Officer and oversee a team of 3.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and implement logistics strategies to support company’s short- and long-term goalsOversee Warehousing and Transportation operations and ensure all suppliers are meeting service, cost, quality and innovation needs for the VMSDevelop, own and report Logistics KPI’sEnsure Logistics meets regulatory and audit requirementsDevelop and implement operational and Financial Annual Operating PlanUtilize data analytics to monitor and improve logistics operationsDrive continuous improvements and cost savings opportunitiesManage relationship and negotiate with vendors to secure the best rates and serviceCreate metrics for service and all primary suppliers based on input from cross functional partnersDevelop formal quarterly supplier relationship management for all primary suppliersCollaborate with the Health & Wellbeing Collective on key supply chain initiativesCreate a culture of performance, continuous improvement and collaboration while living by the values of our operating companiesCAPABILITIES SKILLS REQUIRED7-15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a CPGAn inclusive leader with 3-5 years' experience building a team, coaching and mentoringEffective communicator with the ability to give and receive actionable feedbackHands on experience managing and improving transportation, and warehouse operationsFamiliarity with Logistics systems and tools like Transportation Management System (TMS)Proficiency in data analytics and financial acumenAbility to be a collaborative team member in a dynamic growth environmentAbility to step away from the details and share the big picture impact to everyone within the VMS Co-OpAn analytical thinker with a bias toward action, collaboration and proactive problem-solvingTHE DETAILSLOCATION : San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA (hybrid) – All SF-based staff in office on Tues with remote work Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri.
