Job Summary:
Grundy Center is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant High School Softball Coach to help student-athletes connect, learn, and grow through participation in our softball program. This position supports the Head Coach in teaching fundamental skills, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, and creating a positive, engaging experience for all student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising practices and competitions.
- Support instruction of fundamental skills, strategies, and rules of softball.
- Help foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive character development among student-athletes.
- Assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and events.
- Communicate appropriately with players, parents, coaching staff, and administration, in coordination with the Head Coach.
- Uphold and support school, conference, and state association policies and guidelines.
- Assist with maintaining equipment and facilities as needed.
