What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Facilitator position at Team Up Mentoring?
The Program Facilitator will be responsible for supporting the general implementation of our selected youth development curriculum within the Teen Leadership Academy and Elementary school year programs. The Program Facilitator must be knowledgeable about the needs of clients and able to use the best practices in youth development to provide quality programming for all participants.
This position is ideal for an individual who is personable, organized, professional and enjoys variety in their career with a powerful desire to impact the lives of child trauma survivors in Walton County, Ga.
POSITION DIMENSIONS
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. (two nights per week total) from August 2024 through end of April 2025. Program runs two weeks on and one week off so program facilitators will work about three weeks out of every month.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development and Implementation
- Assists with implementation of the selected evidence-based youth development curriculum for program participants with fidelity.
- Conduct group sessions from the selected youth development curriculum.
- Accurately completes documentation and forms related to all group sessions.
- Implement age appropriate and outcomes-driven programs and activities.
- Ensure that clients receive positive recognition for their efforts.
- Ensure that clients actively participate in all scheduled programs and activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships with clients and their families.
- Seeks to improve their programming and personal knowledge through continued learning opportunities and trainings.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Attends regular training to further develop professional skills related to the duties of the position.
- Conducts life skills sessions as needed within the program schedule
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Experience providing quality youth development programming and/or trauma informed care for young people.
- Ability to multitask well with strong organizational skills and self-care regimen.
- Working knowledge of computers, Google workspace, and other office equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Requires people soft skills – diplomacy and human relation skills – ability to relate well to diverse groups – client participants, corporate and individual contributors, in addition to interested community organizations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
PHYSICAL CONTEXT / MENTAL CONTEXT / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Flow of work and character of duties involves:
- Sustained mental concentration and visual attention to detail and the flexibility in mental and visual concentration to part time levels rising from spontaneous interruptions, as required.
- Ability to prioritize own workload to daily operation, as required.
- Ability to apply analytical skills and solve problems, as required.
Activities include:
- Reading, mental concentration, visual attention to detail, walking and stooping, and lifting up to 10lbs.
