TMB has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Engineer to provide support to a NAVSEA acquisition program office.
Responsibilities
- Candidate will provide systems engineering support to a NAVSEA acquisition program office in the development, production, and test of hardware and software-based systems.
- Provide technical recommendations and review of various System Engineering processes, review of technical program documentation, and assistance with addressing integration challenges.
- Coordinate technical interchanges and Integrated Product Teams working with representatives from Navy Field Activities including the Software Support Agent (SSA) and In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), the Fleet, and Industry partners.
- Assist with the management of Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities.
- Support development of Advance Concepts, Future Development efforts including working with Science and Technology (S&T) and Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) efforts.
- Provide Risk Management and Configuration Management support to address acquisition program requirements.
- Develop Cost Estimates for proposed Engineering Changes, in support of program life cycle costs, system engineering and integration activities, and program T&E efforts.
Qualifications
- 7 years of professional engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related degree.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
- Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
