What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Architect position at TechDoQuest?

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our leadership team and drive the architectural foundation of our next-generation banking platform.

Our platform, BankOS, is the next-gen operating system for banks — a galaxy of modular banking apps, powered by a low-code/no-code orchestration engine and plug-and-play integration. BankOS is built for the scale of the largest banks, with bank-grade security aligned with SOC2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and NACHA requirements, and with full regulatory compliance at its core. Together with the Galaxy of applications, the platform has won multiple industry awards for innovation and excellence.

You will play a pivotal role in defining the architecture, engineering standards, and technology roadmap that scales with our growth.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Strategy

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint for both common services and financial transaction applications.

• Establish design principles for scalability, performance, resiliency, and extensibility.

• Drive decisions on platform modularity, APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices.

Technology Leadership

• Partner with product leaders to translate business goals into architectural solutions.

• Provide hands-on guidance to engineering teams on system design, integration, and technical debt reduction.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies (cloud-native, AI/ML, blockchain, etc.) for long-term platform evolution.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure bank-grade security aligned with SOC2, ISO 27001 requirements across the platform, including identity, encryption, key management, and access control.

• Incorporate compliance requirements (Reg-E, Reg-D, FDIC, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) into the design.

• Lead security-first design reviews and risk assessments.

Scalability & Performance

• Architect high-throughput, low-latency transaction processing systems.

• Establish patterns for multi-tenant SaaS, horizontal scaling, and high availability.

• Define and oversee performance monitoring, capacity planning, and resilience strategies.

Engineering Governance

• Set architectural standards, coding best practices, and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.

• Guide teams on database design, API specifications, and data governance.

• Own architectural reviews, technical debt prioritization, and roadmap alignment.
