General Responsibilities (Applicable to Both Levels):
- Support daily clinical flow and provider schedule
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic chart documentation
- Perform patient assessments: vitals, hearing, vision, height, weight
- Administer vaccines and document screens
- Conduct lab procedures including strep, RSV, and mono tests
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA
- Attend clinical and administrative meetings
- Maintain a professional demeanor and support a family-centered care environment
Qualifications:
Level I Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
- Current BCLS certification
- Familiarity with pediatric vaccine schedules and administration
- Ability to collect lab samples including venipuncture
- Basic use of electronic health records
Level II Requirements (in addition to Level I):
- Demonstrated experience with Level I duties over a 6–12 month period
- Proficient in medication administration (e.g., rocephin, bicillin, synagis)
- Knowledge of chronic and complex diagnoses
- Skilled in scheduling appointments and lab operations
- Experience as a care coordinator (e.g., vaccine or Synagis coordination)
- Ability to train new hires and lead workflow improvements
