echnalink is seeking an ISSO Specialist to help support their federal client in Washington DC.
The ISSO Specialist will lead Centralized Information System Security Officer support for federal agency systems, including:
• Supporting development and maintenance of security documentation for agency systems
• POA&M Management
• Security Assessment & Authorization (SAA), Continuous Monitoring, and Change Management support
• Supporting security control implementation and inclusion of appropriate security requirements at all phases of the SDLC
• Assisting the Enterprise Security Operations Center (ESOC) and System Owner on all IT security and privacy incident reporting and subsequent resolution/remediation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise systems security, testing and system accreditation activities.
- Supervise and lead the application of information technology security principles
- Oversee the application and maintenance of configure security settings for Windows Servers/Clients, LINUX/UNIX, PC Desktops, LAN management, and supported applications.
- Develop and/or maintain an organizational or system-level cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives and policies, cybersecurity personnel, and cybersecurity processes and procedures.
- Implement and enforce all cybersecurity policies and procedures, as defined by cybersecurity-related documentation.
- Maintain a repository for all organizational or system-level cybersecurity related documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree and over 4 years' experience or a master's degree is a plus with over 2 years' experience. A technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater. 8 years' experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- 8570 Certification is required. Security meets the requirement.
- Best candidate will have CISSP Certification or equivalent.
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience using Information Assurance (IA) processes and technology, and good working knowledge of Windows and UNIX systems.
