What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharma Maintenance Technician position at Technical Source?
Technical Source is seeking Maintenance Technicians for multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing clients in the Raleigh, NC area. These roles focus on both equipment and facility maintenance for GMP-regulated environments and typically require similar work experience in the past. Regardless if it's equipment or facilities maintenance, you'll be supporting production uptime and reliability across manufacturing suites, cleanrooms, and critical utilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, motors, compressors, HVAC, etc.)
- Execute scheduled and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment in GMP environments
- Support startup, commissioning, and shutdown of manufacturing equipment
- Lead or assist with installation and qualification of new equipment
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure all work complies with GMP, FDA, and safety standards
- Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and validation teams to support continuous improvement
- Contribute to reliability programs and root cause investigations for equipment failures
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or similarly regulated maintenance environments
- Strong hands-on experience with process equipment and utilities (clean steam, WFI, HVAC, bioreactors, chromatography skids, autoclaves, etc)
- Excellent understanding of GMP documentation, CMMS systems, and deviation response
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certified or experienced
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work independently and cross-functionally
Salary : $40 - $46
