Summary:
This role has responsibility for procuring & purchasing raw materials, subcomponents, supplies, & finished goods. This includes actively evaluating current & future suppliers based on delivery, price, quality, & communication. This role works with teams across the organization to forecast the needs of the business while making informed purchasing decisions & building strong supply chain relationships.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or other related fields of study. Comparable work experience may qualify candidates in lieu of degree.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze data to generate actionable insights on the company’s supply chain
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, with high level of ability in Excel
- Ability to learn ERP software systems & help guide ERP transition
- Highly developed problem solving skills

Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for performing activities enabling Techno-Aide to strategically source supplies & materials based on trends, insights, and purchasing volume discounts
- Actively work to reduce procurement costs through supplier evaluation & negotiation

Research & identify prospective suppliers; Including but not limited to the following:
- Communicate required product specifications
- Benchmark offerings to key criteria
- Select & purchase quality materials
- Negotiate purchase agreements, contracts, vendor terms, and volume discounting
- Build vendor relationships & set internal expectations regarding vendor performance
- Prepare & issue requisitions to internal team members & purchase orders for all vendors
- Prepare purchasing analysis to track trends in purchasing demand for management review
- Oversee complete process for drop ship items including scheduling freight, tracking shipment, & closing orders within ERP
- Evaluate and update ERP safety stock & reorder levels to ensure products kept at appropriate levels based on projected demand
- Willing to travel to current or potential suppliers as needed
- Ensure supply chain redundancy by developing & maintaining multi-tiered supply chain for raw materials, subcomponents, and/or finished goods
- Report on delivery performance & material status daily
- Communicate missed shipments or quality concerns to suppliers & facilitate vendor returns and/or credits
Other:
- Ability to read alpha/numeric & perform mathematical computations
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
- Works for prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk while working on a computer
- Spends time on production floor as required
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities & demands
- Performs other duties as assigned
