General Summary: The Telecommunication Designer position is an entry-level position that will assist the field data collection teams to create high-quality measurement calibration and design for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects to prepare for new telecommunication attachments. The Telecommunication Designer will perform various tasks on TechServ's design software received from field crews to calibrate communication line attachment heights to prepare for electrical distribution pole loading analysis. Being tech-savvy is a must due to the level of technical requirements.

Essential Functions:
  • Use Software for Client projects after being trained.
  • Work with Tech Lead and designers to implement design changes into the system.
  • Perform Design and/or Field Technician duties as needed by the Company.
  • Execute variety of telecommunication design assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques.
  • Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
  • Work with leaders and team members to facilitate/support internal change efforts to increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications:
  • Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • High School Graduate or GED, documentation required.
  • College degree or some college course, preferred.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others including, but not limited to Project Managers, Engineers and Designers in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged sitting and standing required.
  • Occasional need to lift, pull, carry and push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Company needs.
Environmental/Working Conditions:
  • Works in a routine office environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours, as needed.
  • Travel may be required.
