The Opportunity
Our client, a government agency in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Application Services team. The analyst will support full lifecycle agile development initiatives, working across business units to gather requirements, analyze processes, and coordinate testing activities. This position requires strong analytical skills, SQL proficiency, experience in Azure DevOps, and knowledge of Florida IT project management standards.

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $90,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

- Facilitate joint analysis workshops with stakeholders
- Translate requirements into user stories in Azure DevOps
- Create process maps and documentation using Visio
- Coordinate with data migration, testing, and QA teams
- Create and execute test plans and review deliverables for quality

Qualifications You Need
A successful Business Analyst has the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5 years in business process/system analysis
- Strong experience in SQL and data analysis
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficient with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for backlog and story management
- Knowledge of Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 to 60GG-5
- Agile project experience
- CBAP or CSM certification
- Experience with change/release management and data migration
- Knowledge of testing and QA methodologies
