We are currently seeking motivated individuals for the position of Commercial Roofing Foreman at our Savage location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Commercial Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of the field installers assigned to his/her crew. The Foreman will be responsible for leading a crew of roofers whom install commercial roofing products and systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost effective manner.

• Provide training, leadership and direction to the field employees under their supervision.

• Train employees on safety procedures and safety equipment.

• Maximize productivity while maintaining job costs, installation quality and employee safety.

• Ensure the proper utilization of materials and equipment.

• Recruit, mentor and retain a dependable and knowledgeable architectural sheet metal workforce.
• Ensure quality practices for the department on all projects.

• Educate employees on architectural sheet metal best practices, terminology, materials and equipment.
• Plan, administrate, and participate as an instructor in Company sponsored education programs for the workforce.
• Promote proper work ethic and enforce the Company’s policies, procedures and practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient knowledge of PC software applications including Word and Excel.
• Possesses a working knowledge in blueprint reading and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is preferred.
• Occasional travel and out of town work is required.
• Available to work for extended hours when necessary.

• Must not be afraid of heights.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge with multiple types of roofing products and systems.

• Advanced planning skills for establishing maximum productivity of workforce, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, promoting the organization in a positive and productive discipline which will serve as an example to others.
• Other critical skills include problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
